Position Description
The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of materials, components, and finished goods between company facilities, suppliers, and customers. This role ensures deliveries are completed efficiently while adhering to transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company trucks safely and in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Transport and deliver materials, products, and equipment according to schedules.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.Load, secure, unload, and verify shipments accurately.
- Maintain delivery records, logbooks, and transportation documentation.
- Coordinate with Shipping, Receiving, and Production teams to meet delivery requirements.
- Report vehicle maintenance issues, incidents, and safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Support warehouse and logistics activities as required.
Required Education & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and cargo securement practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
- Forklift certification or experience is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Commitment to safe driving and workplace safety practices.
