Position Description

The Receiver is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, inspection, documentation, and storage of raw materials, components, and supplies used in manufacturing operations. This role ensures inventory integrity, supports uninterrupted production, and maintains compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.

 

Morning Shift : 6:00AM - 2:30PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Verify quantities, part numbers, and condition of materials
  • Report and escalate discrepancies, damages, or shortages
  • Enter receiving transactions into the inventory/ERP system
  • Label, tag, and store materials in designated warehouse locations
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, and Quality teams as required
  • Follow all health, safety, and company policies, including proper material handling
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area
  • Assist with inventory counts and audits as required

Required Education & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
  • Familiarity with inventory systems or ERP software is an asset
  • Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to [50 lbs] and perform repetitive physical tasks
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain (asset)
