Position Description
This Quality Engineer role is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet rigorous quality standards. This role involves analyzing production data, developing quality control procedures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and reduce defects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a strong understanding of industry regulations, and is skilled in problem-solving and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintaining and updating PFMEA and DFMEA analysis to identify and mitigate risks.
- Tracking quality-related metrics and communicating the results to all levels of the organization.
- Participating in the internal audit program and leading the corrective actions.
- Analyzing snags, non-conformance materials, and customer feedback to focus on continuous improvement in all required areas.
- Setting up vendor audit schedules and performing vendor audits, as required.
- Implementing statistical analysis based on manufacturing tolerances in order to identify week points and non-conformances.
Required Education & Qualifications
Education Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in engineering, manufacturing or quality-assurance required.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in a quality-related role within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge with various analytical quality processes.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 implementation.
- Strong proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in problem solving and critical decision making.
