  • Accomplishing manufacturing results by communicating job expectations, coaching, counselling, and when necessary, disciplining employees.
  • Selecting, onboarding, training and mentoring employees.
  • Completing production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
  • Managing the accuracy of timesheets.
  • Collaborating with various groups to identify cost reduction initiatives that will maintain or improve quality, reliability and manufacturing cycle time.
  • Working with the Safety group to create, evaluate and promote the managing of the hazards of the operations via Job Hazards Assessments.
  • Reviewing and controlling the resources for the correct and timely execution of work orders and consequently finish goods.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Post secondary education in business administration or related field.
  • Superior organization, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS suite, particularly with Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize various deliverables.

Position Description

Supported by a network of independent sales agents across North America, SSM operates two production facilities within the Calgary area.  To support its efforts in growth and expansion, SSM is looking to add a Production Supervisor to the team for the afternoon shift.

Shift: 3:00 to 11:30 PM 

 

Key Responsibilities
