Internal Posting: Panel Shop Leadhand - Afternoon


Airedale by Modine is offering an internal opportunity for a Panel Shop Leadhand to support our panel shop operations. This role is ideal for a team member looking to expand their skills and take on additional responsibility by supporting panel assembly, wiring activities, and day‑to‑day coordination while assisting technicians and fellow employees.

Schedule

Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Monday to Friday

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support assembly, installation, and wiring of electrical panels
  • Assist with interpreting schematics and build documentation
  • Provide on‑floor support and guidance to panel shop team members
  • Help coordinate daily workflow and resolve minor production issues
  • Maintain safe work practices and support quality requirements
  • Perform general shop duties and help maintain an organized workspace

Required Education & Qualifications

•    Proven to lead up to 15 crews.

•    Capacity to learn and follow electrical drawings, wiring schematics and bill of materials

•    Ability to plan and execute jobs successfully

•    Experience bending and install rigid and EMT pipe as well as calculating pipe fill and wire size

•    Ability to mount panels, VFDs, filters and devices and install instrumental tubing and devices

•    Experience prepping and installing lights as well as pulling and terminating wire

•    Strong communication, problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills

•    Ability to work in a team and independently

•    Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

•    Availability for overtime on weekdays/weekends when required

•    Understanding of engineering and electrical principles

•    Previous experience in manufacturing environment

•    Experience or knowledge of HVAC will be considered an asset
