Scott Springfield by Modine is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for a 3–4-month term position.

This role will be mainly based at our 2234 Portland St SE location in Calgary Alberta, and will require some time to be spent at our 7007 84th St SE Calgary location.

The Manufacturing Engineering Intern plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing excellence by developing and improving manufacturing processes. This position focuses on implementing Deep How software within our organization to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing engineering and an interest in operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality and maintenance to resolve any process or manufacturing issues.
  • Validate, create work instructions, SOP’s and manufacturing processes.
  • Capture and upload process-related videos and images using Deep How software to support standardized work and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed.
  • Support process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Deep How software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
