Position Description
Key Responsibilities
Performance Measures:
- Successfully manage and implement ECRs and ECOs within timelines.
- Achieve quality, cost, and efficiency improvements.
- Complete assignments on time, meeting quality standards.
- Maintain professional communication with staff and clients.
- Ensure high accuracy and up-to-date documentation in the ERP system.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate team player abilities and compliance with company policies.
- Train and mentor new team members effectively.
- Meet defined engineering and company metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- ECR and ECO Management: Handle Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO), including evaluation, documentation, and coordination.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve quality, cost, and efficiency through automation, new techniques, and applications.
- Process Development: Create processes to reduce material and labor loss while improving quality.
- New Technologies: Implement new or sustainable manufacturing technologies and processes.
- ERP Management: Oversee Bills of Materials in the ERP system.
- Plant Layout Optimization: Optimize manufacturing processes and plant layout for maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare technical drawings and information for project builds.
- Design Work: Design jigs, fixtures, and interpret engineering designs and drawings.
- Project Management: Direct works and activities to ensure performance metrics are met.
- Production/Sales/Design Support: Assist with special/unique customer inquiries and support various departments.
- Documentation Accuracy: Ensure data center engineering documentation is up to date.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Training and Mentoring: Train and mentor new team members, including professional development activities
Required Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of 3D modeling software such as IronCAD, SolidWorks, and SolidEdge.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly related to MS Office Suite, CAD, and ERP software.
- Exemplary verbal and written English communication skills.
- Familiarity with HVAC design models.
