Position Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems in our facilities, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Your expertise will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime and overall operation costs while adhering to safety standards and regulations.
We operate over two sites, with an expansion into a third early this year. It is expected that the successful candidate will carry out duties at all three locations, company vehicle is provided for inter-plant travel. The ability to work overtime and be on call is a pre-requisite for this position. Being comfortable working alone and in a team is a big asset.
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will work closely with our maintenance and operations teams to perform preventive maintenance, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions. Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Electrician Duties & Responsibilities:
• Regularly inspect electrical devices, including wiring, fixtures, and appliances.
• Determine the reasons for systems or components malfunctioning and create a problem-solving maintenance or repair plan.
• Write reports on electrical maintenance.
• PLC experience is an asset.
• Fault finding and subsequent repairs on complex CNC machinery issues.
• Provide equipment replacement suggestions.
• Participate in all technical training.
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers’ requirements.
• Complete new installations.
