Position Description
Scott Springfield by Modine is tier-1 supplier that offers scalable air handling solutions for commercial and industrial customers across North America. The team is looking for a motivated Engineering Intern to work in our Sales team. This role is ideal for a student who enjoys hands-on design and 3D printing. The successful candidate will help create scaled 3D printed models of custom air handling units and key components that will be used for internal training, customer demonstrations, and marketing purposes.
This role will be based at our 2234 Portland St SE location in Calgary Alberta.
This term will run from May-August 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 3D models and scaled prototypes of HVAC equipment and components for demonstration and training purposes
- Prepare CAD models for 3D printing
- Operate and maintain 3D printers and required raw material
- Work with engineering and sales teams to develop concepts
- Assist with other engineering tasks as required
Required Education & Qualifications
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, SolidEdge, IronCAD, or AutoCAD
- Interest in hands-on design, model building, and mechanical systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to plan out work for maximum productivity
- Completed their 2nd or 3rd year of engineering studies.
