Position Description
A Material Handler is responsible to move, load, unload, and store materials by hand or using equipment like forklifts, ensuring products and supplies get to the right place efficiently, managing inventory, performing quality checks, and documenting transactions in warehouses or production facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
· Receiving of incoming shipments
· Tagging and Stocking parts
· Assist in housekeeping of merchandise
· Read production and delivery schedules to determine sorting and transfer
· Labour support with installations and/or shop work from time to time as needed
· Performs other duties as required to support other Departments.
Required Education & Qualifications
Ideal candidate must have:
· At least 2-3 years Shipping/Receiving experience
· Attention to detail, ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
· Physically capable of performing all work-related task and assignments.
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
· Must have forklift experience
· Ability to contribute to the teamwork of the department
Assets:
· Valid Forklift or Overhead Crane License
· Computer skills / Microsoft Office
