Position Description
The Accounting department is seeking a value-driven team player to fill the position of Accounting Intern. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in enhancing their knowledge and experience in US GAAP Accounting by following accounting standards set forth by the Corporate Office. This represents an exciting opportunity for a goal oriented fresh graduate looking to gain some valuables skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Preparing and maintaining Accounts Payable (A/P) electronic files and folder structures and archiving for audit readiness.
- Reviewing and redacting information in financial documents (including invoices, etc.) and comparing them with the supporting documents.
- Participating in meetings, trainings and job shadowing opportunities.
- Reviewing, investigating and correcting discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries.
- Assisting with documentation of evidence required for compliance with the internal controls.
- Drafting of internal policies and procedures.
- Other related ad-hoc duties.
Required Education & Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- New graduates in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Proven analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Team player who is motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge.
- Previous internship experience in a related field would be preferable.
Internship Details:
- The term is 12 – 16 weeks in duration, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
- There is an opportunity for this internship to be converted into a permanent, full-time position at the end of the internship period subject to the business needs and the performance of the successful candidate.
- This role is 100% office based. A work-from-home options is not available.
