Position Description
Reporting to the Engineering Manager - Applications, this position is responsible for the cost definition and initial design application of custom HVAC air handlers.
Key Responsibilities
- Creation of costs of material and labor and creation of drawings including:
- Reading and analyzing specifications in order to determine the price structure of a project.
- Engineering selections of components to meet the intent of the specifications.
- Generating costs for the product using proprietary software.
- Developing quotation documents.
- Participating in customer and vendor visits.
- Creating drawing packages using AutoCAD and IronCAD.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Engineering degree or diploma with eligibility or membership in APEGA or ASET.
- Strong proficiency in both verbal and written communication.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities.
- Keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in problem solving and critical decision making.
- 3-5 years equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of 3D modelling software such as IronCad, Solidworks or SolidEdge.
- Familiarity with design models.
