Position Description

The Accounting Supervisor position involves overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial policies and procedures. This role involves supervising staff, managing financial reporting, and assisting with audits and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements and reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, Modine policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with month and year end closing processes and reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary required documentation.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to support financial planning and budgeting.
Required Education & Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in an Accounting related field.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with a focus in data analysis functions.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills to properly manage work and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to demonstrate past experiences and knowledge to younger staff for their development.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Education Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
