Position Description
The management of planning for specific production work cells or functions, including review of new customer orders, their respective due dates, the purchase of components for that work cell, the release of production orders/scheduling, the management of delivery and past due for that work cell.
Key Responsibilities
- Review all customer orders and their due dates to ensure customer satisfaction with well communicated delivery dates. If a delivery date cannot be met, communication back to customer service with the intended date is expected.
- Order all related materials, ensuring that inventory levels are minimal. Review all SAP material codes for pull in and push out logic. Review MOQs, minimum lot sizes and lead time data parameters for accuracy.
- Schedule the production work areas by releasing production orders when all component needs have been satisfied, considering the time needed for support work cells.
- Review all past dues and manage recovery plans and revised delivery dates.
- Visually manage expensed or bulk items for purchase
- Compile, submit, and communicate all changes in purchasing item documentation affecting the suppliers.
- Disposition of non-conforming materials and obsolete materials.
- Complete ECR (Engineering Change Request) as required for purchased items.
- Actively involved with cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Do other jobs as required to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.
Required Education & Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma with a minimum of two (2) years Materials Control and / or Buyer experience working with MRP.
- Prefer bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 3+ years’ experience.
- Prefer SAP experience.
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word experience required.
