Position Description

The AR Billing Specialist will be responsible for proper billing of all invoices managed through a customer billing portal. The AR Billing Specialist will interact with various Modine groups to ensure DSO, aging, and customer term/pricing changes are managed appropriately on invoices.  

Key Responsibilities

Operational Execution & Portal Management

 

  • Execute and monitor invoice uploads across customer P2P and e-invoicing platforms (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, SAP, Oracle, Taulia).
  • Manage end-to-end invoice generation for assigned enterprise accounts, ensuring strict accuracy against contracts, agreed pricing, purchase orders, and delivery milestones. 
  • Maintain Shared Services administration of all customer portal billing sites. This includes managing access of internal users and communication with customers and vendors to establish new billing relationships.
  • Communicate with appropriate cross-functional teams to mitigate invoice disputes or discrepancies. Includes, Resolve billing errors, submission rejections, and portal integration issues to maintain zero payment delays.
  • Manage the customer debit resolution process by proactively working with Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Warranty, Plant Personnel, and others as applicable.  This includes responsibility for pricing reconciliations to ensure amount owed and due is accurate and resolved.

 

Process Improvement & Business Partnership

 

  • Conduct root-cause analysis on invoice disputes and partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and IT to eliminate systemic issues.
  • Help standardize billing procedures and identify opportunities for automated workflows.

Required Education & Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years accounts receivables, accounting, or collection experience.
  • Associates degree or comparable experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Analytical skill set a must.
  • SAP experience preferred.
